Pivotal’s $10 million commitment doubles funds raised by Rodrigo’s inaugural festival, bringing the current total support for its 10 nonprofit partners to $20 million.

IRVINE, CA — August 29, 2026 — Tonight, on-stage at the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival, Olivia Rodrigo announced that philanthropist Melinda French Gates will double the $10M raised through the festival, increasing the total funds raised to $20M.

Rodrigo made the announcement just before starting her headlining set at the sold-out festival at Great Park in Irvine, California. French Gates joined Rodrigo on stage to mark the announcement and celebrate the work and impact of the 10 nonprofit partners whose work Daisy Chain Fields was created to support.

“Daisy Chain Fields is about what can happen when we come together and use our collective power to support one another,” said Olivia Rodrigo. “I’m incredibly grateful to Melinda and Pivotal for believing in this mission and making the impact of our first festival twice as powerful. Most of all, I’m so excited about what this means for the incredible organizations we’re supporting and the women, girls and communities they show up for every single day.”

"Olivia Rodrigo is a force. What Daisy Chain Fields sets in motion will last far beyond a single night, by opening up opportunity for women and girls around the world and showing a new generation how much their voices matter. I’m so proud to support Olivia’s vision."

French Gates’ commitment through Pivotal, a group of organizations she founded to accelerate social progress for women and young people, builds on Daisy Chain Fields’ mission as an annual festival and impact platform created to mobilize artists, nonprofits and fans around some of the most urgent issues women and girls face today. Through the energy of live music, the festival introduces fans to trusted organizations and creates clear pathways to learn, engage and take action.

Throughout the day, that mission came to life through Daisy Chain Reaction, a space where festival attendees could connect directly with the festival’s nonprofit partners and hear more about the issues and communities at the center of their work. Women-led businesses, makers and visual artists were also featured across the festival grounds, extending Daisy Chain Fields’ celebration and support of women throughout the full festival experience.

The festival featured an all-women lineup of Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Garbage, KATSEYE, Mitski, Olivia Rodrigo, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold and The Breeders, with special guests Karen O, Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks. All participating artists performed without a fee, underscoring the collective commitment behind the festival and allowing 100% of net proceeds to support its nonprofit partners.

With Pivotal’s commitment, a total of $20M will be distributed equally across the following 10 organizations supporting women and girls. Rather than centering a single issue or organization, Daisy Chain Fields brings together a network of trusted nonprofit partners whose work reflects the many interconnected issues affecting women and girls in the U.S. and globally, from reproductive health care, legal advocacy, maternal health and economic justice to gender-based violence prevention, youth and family support, global health, Indigenous health, civic engagement and more. The beneficiary organizations, which will equally split the total funds raised, are:

The name Daisy Chain Fields reflects the idea at the heart of the platform: that each person can be an individual link in a chain that becomes stronger together. Rooted in joy, community and creativity, Daisy Chain was created around the belief that bringing people together can inspire meaningful change, and that the impact of one action can grow when others join in.
